We are in to week 2 of our I Am CrossFit challenge and our members are reporting some great weight loss. We have in between 2 lbs and a whopping 9 lbs lost! Outstanding H-Town
Some of you may know that CrossFit, of which my gym is affiliated, is entering the start of the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games. As such, it is 6 weeks of competition with each week a new workout to do. This week was in 10 minutes, complete as many rounds as possible of 30 Double Unders then 15 Power Snatches with 75lbs. A Double Under (Dbl Under) is moving a jump rope twice under your feet in one jump. A Power Snatch is taking a barbell from the ground straight overhead in one fluid movement.
There are over 20,000 people competing worldwide. That’s a lot of mo-fo’s! We did the workout with a great group of individuals sunday. I was proud to watch our members give everything they had.
Now I am feeling the effects of that all out effort. My neck is sore, traps are on fire, but it is all insignifacant because I am placed in the top 60 of my region, as of now. It’s not to say I won’t be knocked out. Remember there is always someone bigger, stronger, or faster than you
